Exchange of Librarians in Regéc

This year, librarians from Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County gathered at Regéc in Zemplén. The traditional programme has been implemented for the 17th time.

The event was attended by experts from all parts of the county, from the smallest settlements to the largest ones. The participants were welcomed by the mayor of Regéc, Ferenc Bakos, who highlighted: The presentation of their local values, in particular the castle, is an essential task in the life of the village. The head of the municipality emphasized: The library greatly helps the life of the village, which is important to them. Gábor Varga, the II. The director of Ferenc Rákóczi Library said that meetings in the county will be held in places where colleagues can get acquainted with historical and cultural heritage. According to the head of the institution, this day provides an opportunity for an exchange of experience.

During the professional program, trainer András Brindzik held a workshop entitled Self-knowledge and Renewal instead of Burnout. During the training the librarians were enriched with useful information. It has also been said that it is not necessary to understand the other, but to connect with him. Signs of burnout need to be recognized and said, this is the first step in solving the problem.

Afterwards, the retired librarians were welcomed. They thanked Valéria Bardóczyné Konderák, Jánosné Birinyi, Dávidné Farkas, Ágnes Fábián, Attila Georgia, Csabáné Kovács, Katalin Tengely with one flower each. Among those present was Mrs. László Regdon, who has been working as a librarian in Léhen for 50 years, and thanks for her work, as well as a flower made of a book by Klára Bencs. The highlight of the event was the Pro Bibliotheca Award, which this year was presented to the director of the Sátoraljaújhely City Library, Mónika Nagyné Szentesi, who has been leading the institution for 15 years. During the afternoon, the bad weather did not discourage the librarians, as with the guided tour of Mayor Ferenc Bakos they visited the beauty of the settlement, the castle of Regéc.
