The small-town librarians were helped by the training

We held a course on basic library knowledge at the II. Ferenc Rákóczi Library on 25 April 2024.

In our professional work, special emphasis is placed on the training and further training of human resources.
In order to provide information for employees working in small settlements and to ensure the expected quality of service, we have been organising training courses since 2017. In the beginning, we reviewed the processes of library work in two days, highlighting the practical information. Since most of them work as librarians on a full-time basis, from 2023 onwards the most important knowledge will be passed on in a one-day training by the area care department's referees.

  1. On 25 April 2004, we shared information on the tasks of the service provider with 22 participants. We discussed the issues of stock protection and ensuring warehouse order. They got acquainted with traditional and machine-lending and searched in library (joint) catalogues.
They reviewed the tasks related to the organisation and documentation of events. They received ideas for community development and community building. We introduced the premium service of the Library Supply Service System, the LibraryMozit. The day ended with an exchange of experiences and local practices.

Based on the positive feedback, we believe that our training has achieved its goal, and the staff working at service sites without library training have acquired the basic knowledge that is indispensable in their work.
